The founders of the Kiss FM brand are launching a new soul and dance radio station in Manchester, UK. Mi-Soul has signed up to Manchester’s small-scale DAB multiplex, operated by Niocast Digital.

Standard equipment includes a touchscreen infotainment system with both DAB radio and Smartlink for smartphone integration.

In February 2016, 70% of the Italian population was covered by the DAB+ signal, with coverage concentrated in northern Italy and the major cities. In 2017, national coverage is now expected to reach 90% of the population. You can now get in the car in Val d'Aosta and drive right across the country to Friuli without losing the signal!

Ankaro, the German manufacturer of satellite receivers and accessories, has unveiled its first DAB+ radio receiver at the ANGA COM trade fair in Cologne. The MS-1 model is a stereo radio receiver for both DAB+ and FM with in-built speakers.

Additional regional networks will significantly improve the reception quality and the diversity of programs in many parts of the state. The DAB+ digital radio trial services in Canberra and Darwin to be made permanent, the Australian Communications and Media Authority has announced. It has also been confirmed that regulatory arrangements have been completed for digital radio in Hobart. The ACMA has now finalised DAB+ digital radio plans for all Australian cities. The timing for the start of permanent broadcasting will be announced after broadcasters have the necessary infrastructure in place.
