UK Government agencies support traffic updates using digital radio

Motorists are being encouraged to not miss a thing and keep up to date on their journey by using digital radio. The government has also announced the build of nearly 400 new DAB transmitters over the next 2 years. This means digital radio will have increased coverage across the UK, bringing DAB digital radio to around 7,000 kilometres of roads.

Launch of the First Terrestrial Digital Radio (TDR) Tests in Monaco

On 28 April 2014, the Principality of Monaco launched the digital broadcasting of eight Monegasque radio stations: RMC, Radio Monaco, Radio Riviera, RMC1, RMC2, Chik Radio, Radio Ethic and Rete 105. The broadcasting coverage area extends along the coast between Menton and Cap d’Antibes. This took place even before TDR was put into service in France on 20 June 2014 in the cities of Paris, Marseille, Nice and the surrounding areas.
