Sir Hossein Yassaie knighted "for services to technology and innovation"

Video games legend Ian Livingstone, Lastminute.com co-founder Martha Lane Fox and Imagination Technologies' boss Hossein Yassaie all feature in the New Year Honours List.

The national network for digital radio will be completed in 2013 with new locations. As Dr. Chris Weck (Radio Germany) and Thomas Guard (Media Broadcast) announced in the recent interview with INFOSAT, six new stations extend the distribution range in the channel 5C in the upcoming year. The following locations are planned: Geislingen, Würzburg, Wendelstein, Chemnitz-Geyer, Minden and Gelnhausen. "Our goal is very clear, in the long term by FM Digital Radio will replace, the analog broadcast over FM" said Dr. Weck.

The conference will have a wide range of radio and media topics and with a total of 50 sessions over two full days on the 18th and 19th of March 2013. The new network comprises two DAB radio multiplexes, each capable of carrying four radio programs, along with two digital television multiplexes.

The Media Council of the Bavarian Regulatory Authority for Commercial Broadcasting (BLM) has approved to increase the data rate of the program Rock Antenne in DAB + from 54 to 60 CU. The approval is valid until 31.10.2019.

Starting from £22,495, the Black and White Limited Edition is £1,205 cheaper than the model it’s based on. It takes the S variant – which comes with a start button and an eight-speaker stereo with DAB as standard – and adds LED running lights and a gloss black grille, side vents and door handles.

All CT 200h models are now also equipped with DAB digital radio.
