Italy proposes to go DAB compliant from 2019

The Italian Government, with an amendment to the 2018 Budget Law, has proposed that all radio devices should be able to receive FM and DAB+ analogue programs at the same time. From 1 June 2019, electronics stores and internet portals will no longer be able to buy radio receivers that do not have the dual system to dispose of their warehouse stock.

Italy to vote on going fully digital from 2020
