This new German study, “Analysis of Radio Transmission in Bavaria Through DAB or LTE — Comparing the Costs of Supply” concludes “providing terrestrial radio exclusively via LTE would be around 40 times more costly than transmission via DAB .”

RAI Radio launches three new DAB+ stations

Latest digital listening figures for Bavaria

Almost 3% of the audience listens to DAB digital radio in Bavaria, corresponding to 322.000 listeners aged 10 plus. Altogether 5,8% of the listeners tune in DAB Bayern at least once a week. Around 10% of the population of Bavaria are equipped with a digital radio gadget, at home or in the car.

Kultradio station licenced for DAB+ in Bavaria

BLM, the Bavarian commercial regulator has awarded a DAB licence to Kultradio.fm station for broadcast in Bavaria on Band III, Block 12D. The licence expires on 31 October 2019.

DAB Driving Test Routes Established in UK

Vaizey: 'Government working towards a digital radio future'

“Thanks to the commitment of the Government, the BBC and commercial radio, another 4.3 million households will be able to tune in to DAB by end of 2016.
