DAB+ digital radio grows 24% to 3.8m units in past year
12.03.2018 - Australia“More than 560,000 of the new cars sold in 2017 were fitted with DAB radio,” said CRA chief executive officer Joan Warner. “The adoption in cars is ahead of forecast, which is great news as it means more listeners are able to discover digital radio."

WorldDAB breaks 100-member threshold
12.03.2018 -Nine new organisations have joined WorldDAB since the start of 2018, taking its membership to 104 organisations from 29 countries.
Italian public broadcaster Rai, vehicle manufacturers General Motors and Toyota, Croatian network operator Transmitters and Communications Ltd., content service provider Pluxbox, automotive solution providers Nextbase and In2digi and professional equipment manufacturers Avateq Corp. and Inovonics Inc. have all joined WorldDAB since the start of 2018.

12.03.2018 - Paneda WorldDAB Member - United Kingdom - Malaysia - Italy - GermanyPaneda's Lars Peder Lundgren shared examples of advanced DAB and hybrid features at last week's ABU DBS at Kuala Lumpur. Italian broadcaster Rai will host a digital radio seminar on April 13. The Thuringen State Media Authority of Germany has welcomed a planned "Call for Interest" for the use of a state-wide private DAB+ multiplex, while 10 small-scale DAB trial multiplexes will continue in operation until 31 March 2020 in the UK.
