DAB+ News: Radio Oost now receivable via DAB+ digital radio
15.06.2015 - NetherlandsBroadcasting in Overijssel, Radio Oost, is starting this week via DAB+ digital radio. Along with several other fellow regional broadcasters in the Netherlands they have obtained a permit in their own service area, north-eastern Netherlands, to broadcast via DAB+.

UK's Ofcom Brings Community Radio Up to a New Level
15.06.2015 - United KingdomAbout 60 stations will begin broadcasting on digital radio for the first time using the 'small scale DAB' approach, which could provide a more affordable way for smaller stations to broadcast via digital radio. “If the trials are successful, UK listeners could benefit from hundreds more local and community radio stations on digital radio in the future,” said Ofcom.

Great Britain 5 million cars with RNT (DAB)
15.06.2015 - France - United KingdomAccording to Digital Radio UK, 5 million UK vehicles are equipped to receive RNT (DAB). 60% of vehicles sold in the last 12 months came with DAB receivers as standard, this compares with only 5% of the vehicles sold in March 2010.

Ofcom has announced that around 60 stations that will begin broadcasting on digital radio for the first time using a technology called 'small scale DAB' Ofcom has awarded ten trial licences for radio 'multiplexes' - discrete chunks of the airwaves used to broadcast groups of radio services.
