RAI steps up investment in digital radio

Luigi Gubitosi, Director General of RAI, says that RAI will complete full DAB coverage of Northern Italy between 2013 and 2014, including the province of Rome, resulting in a significant improvement in quality for the listeners through removal of interference caused by overloaded FM frequencies. Related to this, he adds that RAI will announce shortly a new agreement with Autostrade per l'Italia on improvements to Isoradio, a public service station broadcasted by RAI and fully dedicated to traffic information.
