MDR is running an DAB+ day on 15 December across all it's radio stations to help educte listeners about the benefits of digital radio. Special programmes recorded for the DAB+ day will explore what to look for when buying digital radios and the technical benefits of DAB+.

Latvian Radio together with the Latvian Radio and Television Centre has announced the launch of year long digital radio trials. Uldis Lavrinovics from Latvian Radio said, " By using DAB+ we will be able to create new content and attract more listeners."

Omroep Vlaardingen can begin broadcasting channel 6B via DAB+. Omroep Vlaardingen is the first local broadcaster in the Randstad region to broadcasts via DAB+.

Ahead of the digital switchover starting in January P4 are offering listeners the chance to win one of 100 Pop DAB radios from Euronic, through December.

The Alsace political party Unser Land, is requesting that Radio France broadcasts France Bleu in local language on DAB+.

The R4 features built-in CD player, FM radio, DAB radio, Bluetooth audio, USB playout and Optical in and Aux in. The sound quality is satisfying to listen to and has a decent balance of high and low audio producing components.

According to GfK’s DAB+ Digital Radio Report, Coles Radio is the most-listened-to DAB+ exclusive radio station in Australia with 151,000 listeners, up from approximately 140,000 listeners at the same time last year.

Bayerische Rundfunk has expanded its Franconian regional networks to 11 locations. In the past few weeks, three additional DAB+ broadcasting systems and to access new stations listeners are advised to retune their radios.

Over one hundred participants took part in the capacity building session in Pattaya on December 2. They were mainly from government agencies, radio broadcasters, consumer organisations, media associations and other stakeholders from the Digital Radio broadcast technologies sector.
