Reorganisation of the local radio landscape from 2020 onwards
16.02.2017 - SwitzerlandAs of 2020, regional radio broadcasters will be given more autonomy in urban areas, since they will no longer be subject to a concession with a service contract. This proposal is part of the draft regulation of the Radio and Television Regulations (RTVV), which has been sent to the Department for Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC). The new proposal also sets the course for the switchover of FM to digital DAB+ transmissions.

Extended digital radio tests in Latvia

DAB+ receiver sales go up
16.02.2017 - NorwayRecent figures from the Foundation Elektronikkbransjen in Norway speak for themselves. In 2015, 740,000 DAB+ radios were sold in Norway, the figure increased to 965,000 in 2016 ahead of the digital switchover.
