Northsound 2 is to become the first radio station in Scotland to voluntarily turn off its analogue transmitter in favour of DAB.

WorldDAB has put the keys into the ignition for the WorldDAB Automotive 2018 conference, announcing that registration is now open and also offering a glimpse at its first batch of speakers for the program.

The iconic British magazine’s current edition will be its last, according to a statement from publisher Time. NME.com will continue to operate and expand, with two new audio channels—one for new music, another for “NME classics”—launching online and on UK digital radio.

The new Air trim features air conditioning, DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity, height-adjustable driver’s seat, 16-inch wheels, body-coloured front and rear bumpers, electric front windows, USB and AUX connection and front fog lights as standard.

Standard gear includes the two 7-inch screens that form the MBUX infotainment system, voice controls and DAB radio.

The seminar takes place on April 13th and will discuss the future of radio in Italy. Speakers include Stefano Ciccotti, Rai Technical Chief Officer, Angelo Marcello Cardani, Agcom President, Graham Dixon, Head of Radio EBU and Patrick Hannon, President of WorldDAB.

The Thüringen State Media Authority (TLM) has welcomed the planned "Call for Interest" for the use of a state-wide private DAB + multiplex. The appeal should promote the discussion of private radio stations, secure the necessary frequencies, address new interested parties and, as a result, start network planning.
