RadioHack 2014 brought some 46 developers, engineers and other technology experts to the EBU during Digital Radio Week. One of the projects carried out at RadioHack 2014 is DABerry, which is a hybrid digital receiver based on the Raspberry Pi; another is new developments based on CRC mmb Tools, including low-cost DAB transmitter boards, single-frequency network support, and DAB micro-cells running in a set-top box, fed with audio from a satellite receiver

On Thursday 6th February FGA (Fiat Group Automobiles) hosted a successful meeting of WorldDMB and Italian digital radio industry representatives. The event was an opportunity for WorldDMB and FGA to discuss common goals and provided a platform for WorldDMB to build a relationship with one of the fastest growing automotive brands offering digital radio in-car.

Fiat is now offering digital radio in its 500L range with DAB+ being available for €110 in all of its models. Dab+ is also included in some special editions.

Toyota's new 'Touch 2' infotainment system comes as standard on all bar the base models of the Verso. This 6.1-inch touch-screen set-up adds Bluetooth, a DAB radio and a rear-view camera.

The Porsche Macan now comes with DAB as standard.

British-based audio products vendor New Dawn Innovations has shown off a handbag-style retro DAB radio at Distree 2014 EMEA, dubbed 'Bardot' after Bridgette Bardot.
