Russia to allocate bandwidth for broadcast digital radio
06.10.2018 - Russian FederationDAB+ will receive band allocations for digital radio broadcasting in Russia, after the decision by the country’s State Commission for Radio Frequencies (SCRF) to allocate also frequencies to DRM. SCRF has confirmed that individual broadcasters will ultimately decide which digital radio standard to use based on the suitability for their regions.

05.10.2018 - FranceFrench union of independent radio SIRTI has welcomed a new report presented by French minister Aurore Bergé calling on the acceleration of the DAB+ rollout in the country, citing it as "an essential condition for the modernisation of the radio media and the maintenance of state sovereignty", and that the impending launch in Lyon and Strasbourg will trigger a clause requiring all new radio receivers to be digitally compatible.
