The Netherlands Public Broadcaster (NPO) commits to DAB+

The Netherlands Public Broadcaster (NPO) demonstrated its confidence in the growth and future success of the DAB+ digital broadcasting standard by announcing at the WorldDMB Marketing Seminar in The Hague that it has submitted a tender for a DAB+ contract that will involve an ambitious rollout plan aiming for 95% coverage by 2017
NDR to start DAB+
18.11.2011North German Broadcast is to start broadcasting DAB+ from the 22 November 2011. The broadcasts will initially be received in the metropolitan areas of Hanover, Hamburg, Kiel and Schwerin and in the Lueneburg Heath (Visselhövede transmitter) and Greater Bremen, Delmenhorst.
