Denmark chooses British model for DAB+ digitisation plans
29.04.2015 - DenmarkDenmark announced on Tuesday 29th of April an additional agreement on the transition to digital radio that sets clearer conditions for the migration to digital listening. The agreement largely follows the British digitisation plans which sets specific requirements that need to be achieved before an FM switch-off date can be set.

Pure partners with Volkswagen for DAB adoption
29.04.2015 - Pure - United KingdomPure in collaboration with Volkswagen Group, today launches Drive Digital, an in-car digital radio adapter designed and approved especially for VW group vehicles.
The Drive Digital, powered by Pure, has been designed to fit seamlessly in most vehicles within the Volkswagen group, with four colour Illumination backlight settings to suit each environment and dashboard.
Nick Hucker, Pure's Senior Marketing Director, says: "We are proud to be powering the new Drive Digital and bringing our considerable digital radio experience to Volkswagen Group customers.
"This is an important step forward for the uptake of in-car digital radio adapters and will be a significant catalyst in driving a digital radio switchover."

Britain passes Norway. Two thirds of new cars in Britain now come with DAB as standard

This number is higher than the figure from Norway. Norwegian car importers are now well under way to find solutions for upgrading FM radios, allowing car owners with old cars get good DAB upgrade options.

Almost two-thirds of new cars come with DAB
27.04.2015 - United KingdomDigital Radio UK have announced today that nearly two-thirds of new cars now come with DAB Digital Radio as standard. The figure a year ago was just half.
All of the top 20 selling car brands in the UK now offer DAB digital radio as standard or as an option. In order to achieve the “digital tick mark”, all in-car receivers must decode both DAB and DAB+, a new standard which we’re yet to use in the UK.

Nearly 2/3 of new cars now fitted with DAB digital radio
27.04.2015 - United KingdomAccording to today's announcement from Digital Radio UK, in March 2015, 64.9% of new car registrations had digital radio as standard, up from 50.7% the previous March (CAP/SMMT 2015). An additional 10% of cars also have digital radio available as a cost option, meaning that three-quarters (75%) of new cars in the UK now have digital radio available as standard or as an option.
