Imagination licenses car radio IP to ST.
16.12.2013 - United KingdomImagination has licensed its Ensigma communications processor technology to STMicroelectronics for use in a multi-standard programmable SoC for car radios. Under the terms of its licensing arrangements, Imagination receives license fees, and royalty revenues on shipment of SoCs incorporating the IP.
The new generation of ST digital radio receivers will support a wide range of global digital radio standards including DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) and HD Radio.
