A leading UK digital radio developer is cashing in on the possible digital radio boom in Australia with the launch of a local business developed in conjunction with Commercial Radio Australia. The company, All In Media (AIM), is based in Sydney and is the first international operation for the business which develops DAB (digital audio broadcasting) data applications such as interactive services.

In Saxony-Anhalt, the DAB+ location Wittenberg will be changed from channel 12C to channel 11C on 30 June. The reception of the commercial broadcasts in the Wittenberg and Dessau areas will be significantly improved.

A new digital radio station for Bedfordshire is set to launch this weekend. The Beat will play a range of music from the 90s, 00s and now, broadcast news, travel and what's on information for Bedfordshire. The station will be available on DAB Digital Radio, as well as broadcasting online and on mobile devices.

The GfK Radio Insights study found 42% of respondents surveyed consider radio trustworthy, with a wide gap to TV (24%), online (18%) and newspapers/magazines (15%).

Vauxhall's new, larger Insignia Sports Tourer comes with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 3D satellite-navigation mapping, DAB radio and Bluetooth smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

A report by Bayerische Landeszentrale für neue Medien, has reported that 20.1 percent of the population aged over 14 or over in Bavaria have at least one DAB+ receiver in their household. Digitalradio Deutschland looks back at the important milestones achieved with DAB+ during the first half of 2017. An important achievement was the adoption of the "Action Plan for the Transformation of Radio Broadcasting into the Digital Age" by the Digital Radio Board. The action plan includes a roadmap with eight measures that provide a framework for the digitalisation of the radio broadcast.

A one-hour slot on the station is priced at £20 (US$26) per multiplex. As well as on DAB digital radio, the station has been broadcasting since April, online and via the U.K. Radioplayer.
