Interest in DAB+ at SET Brazil 2020

In a conference stream dedicated solely to radio, three presentations in this  year’s SET Brazil event focused on DAB+. SET Experience 2020 anticipates a total of 80,000 delegates from across South America, and around the globe. 

 WorldDAB President Patrick Hannon talked about the global status of DAB+, the technology and various benefits of DAB+, and how to succesfully launch DAB+. WorldDAB Technical Committee member Les Sabel gave an overview of DAB+ features, as well as discussing the headend system, transmission system and hybrid radio.  The video presentations by both speakers are now live on the SET 2020 website.

SET is an annual conference held every year in Sao Paolo. It is aimed at professionals in the field of broadcast, media and entertainment; technology developers in product manufacturing companies or service providers; researchers, students and professors of engineering, technologies, communication and themes related to the areas described above.

This year, because of the pandemic, the SET Conference is being held virtually.
