DAB+ and the ma Audio 2025 I study: digital radio continues to grow

The latest ma 2025 Audio study confirms the high relevance of radio and audio: 75 percent of the German population use audio services every day – from analogue radio to streaming to DAB+. DAB+ in particular continues to grow: DAB+ is listened to by 30.3 percent (ma 2024 Audio II: 29.1 percent) and is used disproportionately, especially in the target group of 30 to 59-year-olds (36.4 percent – ma 2024 Audio II: 34.4 percent). In particular, the nationwide DAB+ programmes are benefiting from this growth. DAB+ daily reach nationwide grew by 11 percent compared to the previous year. The distribution of local and regional radio programs in Bavaria even increased by 17 percent compared to the previous year.
