Give us a brief introduction to your organisation and the role it plays in the radio sector

Xperi is a leading global media technology and services company. We have a broad portfolio of broadcast technologies with a specific expertise on in-car implementations. We currently have over 150 million cars on the road with Xperi technology and our global connected media platform DTS AutoStage is live in 144 countries supporting over 90,000 broadcast radio stations.

How do you see the digital radio sector evolving in the coming years?

Broadcast radio will continue to expand their digital services with DAB+ rolling out more services and expanding into more countries. The number of cars supporting DAB+ will continue to grow and as those cars become connected, DTS AutoStage will enable an entirely new user experience for the user, make radio more discoverable and engaging and provide, never before possible, analytics and metrics around in-car radio listening.

What DAB+ products or services are you showcasing at IBC2023?

We will be showcasing a number of technologies and services including our DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal and DTS AutoStage video service, Powered by TiVo in the new BMW 5 series. Find out more here.

What are you most looking forward to at IBC2023?

Connecting with the industry in person. This will be my first IBC in three years and while I’ve participated in a number of WorldDAB events in the last two years, IBC provides a unique opportunity to connect with broadcasters and service providers from around the world.
