The Saudi Media Forum takes place from 19-21 February, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. WorldDAB President, Jacqueline Bierhorst will be representing WorldDAB in an expert panel session called: “DAB+: The Future of Radio Begins Now!”

This year’s edition of the Saudi Media Forum focuses on how the industry is evolving in response to global shifts. Experts will discuss critical issues, such as adapting to the new media reality, overcoming sector challenges, and exploring strategies for maintaining investment viability. A key theme of this year’s forum will be the implementation of a sustainable approach to media management, as well as strategies to effectively address emerging challenges while fostering innovation.

The DAB+ session is on Wednesday 19 February at 14:20 local time, with Eng. Hatem Abu Nasif, Vice President of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority, and Ziad Hamza, Director of Radio and Music at radio and TV operator MBC, alongside WorldDAB’s Jacqueline Bierhorst. The session will cover how “the radio industry is undergoing a pioneering transformation with the emergence of DAB+, a technology that redefines the listening experience through superior sound quality, broader coverage, and interactive services. This session will explore how DAB+ is shaping the future of radio and its impact on listeners, broadcasters, and the media industry as a whole.”
