Hanns Wolter
Technical Director, DAB Italia and Chair, WorldDAB Spectrum and Network Implementation Committee

Hanns has been working in the DAB world since 2000 as a Product Manager and has, in these years worked on all issues regarding DAB, at both a national and international level, including the introduction of DAB+ in 2007. He is involved in network planning and spectrum issues and also works closely with hardware manufacturers for the deployment of a comprehensive DAB environment. Currently, he is responsible for the planning and management of the ongoing roll-out of DAB Italia’s network and all issues related to the creation, distribution and transmission of the multiplex.

Luis Grela
Managing Director, TRedess

Luis Grela is a Telecommunications engineer (University of Vigo, Spain) with over 25 years of experience working in the broadcast industry and since 2018 is Managing Director of TRedess.

In his professional career he has held a number of positions, initially working in the R&D areas in several companies (including Tandberg TV) and developing HW and SW solution for TV broadcasters, later moving into roles related to the customer support and presales at Ericsson TV.

He joined TRedess in 2010 and during the last decade he has been leading (in his role as Sales Director) the international expansion of TRedess as a company fully specialised in TV and DAB+ transmitters and Gap fillers (with more than 28,000 transmitting devices operating in more than 65 countries).

Phil Kesby
Domain Architect – BBC Architecture, Arqiva

Phil Kesby is a chartered Engineer with over 25 years of experience designing and delivering broadcast systems for AM, FM, DAB and DTT, continuing to innovate and develop these technologies to enable optimised deployment for broadcasters, network operators and consumers. Phil has led the development of new approaches for the reduction of energy consumption in terrestrial broadcast platforms for the BBC and Arqiva. He is a member of the World DAB Technical committee, and a member of the DVB steering board. Phil is vice-chairperson for the ETSI committee defining harmonised standards for broadcast transmitters and receivers (ERM TG-17). Phil received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Leicester (UK).

Alexander Kurz
Sales Director EMEA, GatesAir

GatesAir’s Alexander Kurz is a driving force behind the company's sales and business development in the EMEA region. With over 25 years of broadcast industry experience, Kurz joined GatesAir in 2019, bringing a wealth of expertise in digital TV/radio transitions and quality assurance solutions.

In his role, Kurz oversees the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and extends his influence to many European, CIS, and Middle Eastern countries. His deep understanding of the evolving broadcast landscape, particularly the growing popularity of DAB+ radio and the shift from DVB-T to DVB-T2, positions GatesAir at the forefront of broadcast tech advancements.

Kurz's vision aligns perfectly with GatesAir's commitment to reliable high-efficiency transmitters, addressing the changing habits of video consumption while recognizing radio's enduring appeal. His expertise in IP-based transport methods also supports broadcasters in their transition to more flexible and efficient content delivery systems.

Ing. Carlo Perotta
Sales Manager, Aldena

Carlo is a Sales Engineer and member of the Board of Directors of ALDENA, a provider of broadcasting antennas used in more than 125 countries globally and the EMLAB radio network planning software, since 1979.

Carlo obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication Technologies Engineering at Politecnico di Milano.  He gained experience as an RF engineer consultant for mobile network operators and telecommunication companies.

In 2007, he joined the broadcasting industry and ALDENA where has taken part in planning projects for several different countries as well as actively working in antenna design and service planning for digital broadcast systems such as DAB+ and DVB-T2.

Currently, he also responsible to the ALDENA's EMLAB software tool development.

Adriano Pitteri
Project Manager, SRG SSR

Adriano Pitteri is Program Manager for the Broadcast Distribution at SRG SSR, the Swiss Public Broadcaster. In this role, he coordinates the strategy and implementation of SRG SSR's DAB+, FM and satellite broadcasting. Adriano is member of the SRG SSR’s DSO steering committee and also chairs the SRG SSR's coordination group for digital switchover communication. This includes coordinating the marketing campaign for the Swiss public broadcaster.
