4th Africa and Digitalisation Conference and 24th SABA AGM
Theme: “Embracing Digital Broadcasting-The Future is Now”
Overview of the meeting:
The Southern Africa Broadcasting Association will be holding its 4th Africa and Digitalization Conference and 24th Annual General Meeting in Maputo-Mozambique from the 24th -26th November 2016. 150 CEO’s and senior managers from broadcasters throughout southern, eastern and central Africa will attend.
The 4th Africa and Digitalization Conference aims to review progress made in digital migration on the continent, developments in ICT and its impact on media, opportunities in pay tv, over-the-top and video-on-demand services, regulations and licensing in a digital world, the position of radio in a multimedia ecosystem, and strategies to create local content appealing to the digital youth.
This year’s conference will also look at online-content protection, cyber security to protect consumers, and access to information and digital for all(future planning for spectrum usage and mobile broadband).
The conference is hosted with the Public Media Alliance, former Commonwealth Broadcasting Association-as well as Radio and TV Mozambique.
