The WorldDAB General Assembly 2016 will bring together an audience of over 200 radio experts including policy makers, broadcasters and industry representatives to discuss the future of digital radio. The dominant theme of this year's event will be the growing momentum towards the rollout of DAB across Europe and beyond.
With DAB now firmly established as the de facto digital radio standard of choice across Europe, and in several territories around the world, discussions will focus on the following topics:
- Continued growth in established DAB markets
- Update on emerging DAB markets
- New business opportunities offered by DAB
- The future of receivers

This year WorldDAB will host networking drinks and the gala dinner at Hofburg Vienna, in the rooftop Dachfoyer, which provides views of the Michalerkuppel and Vienna's city centre

Optional tour of ORF Funkhaus
9th November
As part of the WorldDAB General Assembly, we are offering attendees the chance to experience the ORF Funkhaus and take a look behind the scenes. Currently, three Radio Stations (Ö1, Radio Wien, FM4), one TV Studio (Wien heute), the Radio-Newscenter, the ORF Radio Symphonic Orchestra Vienna and the ORF RadioKulturhaus reside inside the historic Funkhaus building.
By visiting the Radio Stations and the Audio Drama Studio those on the tour will be able to find out more about the unique history and architecture of the Funkhaus. You may even be able to meet one of Austria’s favourite radios DJs from Ö1, Radio Wien, FM4 or Wien Heute!
