The Sangean WFR-27C may look like a traditional radio, but is packed with modern features such as digital radio, internet and Spotify Connect.

LG continues on its quirky smartphone streak, with the release of a midrange 5.7in phablet with a stylus and a DAB+ digital radio tuner. The DAB+ tuner giving you access to your favourite radio stations (and some you’ve never heard of) without impacting your monthly data allowance.

The C300 comes with navigation and a 13-speaker Burmester surround sound system that includes a 10GB hard drive, USB input, DAB+ digital radio and Bluetooth integration.

Features include Bluetooth, DAB digital radio, cruise control with speed limited, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and phone controls, and a seven-inch touchscreen.

New data from Rajar shows that digital radio is thriving in the UK with the launch of a new mini-mux and a variety of new radio stations. Listening to the radio via DAB/DAB+ now accounts for 32.2% of the total audience, almost a third! This is an increase of 21% in one year.

New DAB stations launched earlier this year have recorded respectable first listening figures according to RAJAR data. This included stations using the newer DAB+ standard, only available on newer digital radios. In March, Sound Digital officially launched a second multiplex of commercial radio to around three quarters of the UK, with new stations from Bauer, Wireless Group and smaller independent operators.

Triple M is set to bring the Rio Olympics live to its listeners through the DAB+ digital radio channel – ‘7 Rio Live’.

The Elan E3 features a vivid, informative 2.8in full-colour TFT display, which lets users browse through and select from a growing number of digital radio stations with ease. It also displays the digital radio slideshow in full colour so, depending on what the station broadcasts, users could view album artwork, pictures of the presenter, the weather and more.

The second national DAB commercial network launched in March, and alongside strong in-car listening growth, has taken digital radio listening to a new high of 45.3%. DAB has grown its share of listening to 32.2% to now account for over 71% of total digital listening.
