Malu Dreyer, the Minister President of Rhineland-Palatinate and Chairman of the Broadcasting Commission of the Länder, has praised the new DAB+ campaign, and says it sends a strong message of support for DAB+ in Germany. Dreyer also announced new discussions are taking place on the framework of the Digital Radio Action Plan.

JACK's latest offspring, JACK 3, has launched on DAB. The station will be “Chilling when we want” and available in the Oxfordshire area on digital radio, as well as online.

In Germany, the Federal Minister of Economics and Energy, Brigitte Zypries, has presented a draft amendment to the country's Telecommunications Act, which seeks to forbid FM-only radio receivers.
