DAB+ range continues growth in Germany

Digital radio DAB+ continues to grow in Germany. Around 12.7 million people in Germany have access to DAB +. This emerges from the current digitalisation report of the media authorities, which has now been published. That is 1.8 million more than in 2017. Three new DAB+ stations in Warsaw

A week ago the test broadcast of multiplex DAB+ digital radio began - an independent project of an alternative BCAST radio frequency operator, which after obtaining the approval of the national regulator, started a test MUX issue in Warsaw. Deutschlandradio to convert stations from FM to DAB+

In the fall of 2018, Deutschlandradio will be the first public service broadcaster in Germany to switch completely to a purely digital broadcasting technology with DAB + in two existing FM broadcasting areas. On Germany's only offshore island Helgoland (from 28 September) and in the region Mittenwald / Krün / Wallgau in the upper Isartal (from 4 October) and then the programs Deutschlandfunk, Deutschlandfunk culture and Deutschlandfunk Nova and the special channel documents and debates over Antenna receivable, together with the complete range of programs in the nationwide DAB + multiplex in channel 5C. The "Swiss Radio Player" is live
