The last free spot in the digital radio multiplex of Kyiv was taken by the station Priamyi FM (Direct FM)
06.09.2018 - Ukraine Ukraine
On September 6, the National Council summed up the results of the competition for radio broadcasting in the digital terrestrial multichannel network of the T-DAB standard in Kyiv. The winner was the radio station Priamyi FM (Direct FM) - the LLC Direct TV Channel, Kyiv. This company was the only bidder. The signal will be disseminated by two transmitters with power of 2.0 kW and 1.0 kW. The territory of coverage is Kyiv. The volume of the programme broadcasting is 24 hours per day. The requirements for the programme concept prohibit retransmission of programmes of other broadcasters. According to the Director General of the LLC Direct TV channel Mrs Eugenia Zakharova, it will be informational, interactive radio, but not talk radio. The basic format will be live streams from the spots. There will be no music or entertainment on the radio station. 16 hours per day will be devoted to information about events, which will be rerun at night. The company is ready to start broadcasting in 2-3 months. We would like to recall that the sixth programme in the multichannel digital radio network was put up for competition by the National Council repeatedly after the winner of the previous competition (held on 29 March 2018) - First Digital radio station - failed to pay the full amount of the license fee on time.
